Description
The annual St. Marys Independence Day Festival on July 4 promises to be a fun-filled patriotic day that will be the highlight of your summer. The celebration includes a 5K and 10 K race, a 10 a.m. themed parade, all day entertainment at the St. Marys Waterfront Park, arts & craft vendors, Food vendor and activities. The night culminates with a fireworks display over the river just after dusk. The St. Marys Waterfront Park is a great location to watch the show, so bring a blanket or chairs and settle in for a relaxing time. Guests can also purchase tickets for the fireworks river cruise that sets off from downtown. Find more information at the festival home page at smkiwanis.com.
The Independence Day Festival is presented by the Kiwanis Club of St. Marys and has been designated as a Southeast Tourism Society “Top 20 Event” several years. The dedication of the club in presenting the family-friendly, well organized annual celebration has made the festival most deserving of the award. 12 p.m -- 7:30 p.m. -- Gilman Waterfront Stage Entertainment
7 p.m. -- River Boat Fireworks Cruise ($20 per person)
9:30 p.m. -- Fireworks Show
All activities are held along Osborne St. and waterfront.
