The members of the McDonough Junior Women’s Club invite you to Rock Your Socks Bingo Night. If you’re interested in meeting other women and making an impact in the community, visit the club on March 21 at 7:00p.m. at 199 Turner Rd to mix and mingle, play bingo, and enjoy food and prizes.

March 21 (3/21) is World Down Syndrome Day, representing three copies of the 21st chromosome, which cause the genetic condition. Since chromosomes, resemble a pair of socks, supporters are encouraged to wear socks in fun colors and patterns to help raise awareness. The club will be making a donation to a local nonprofit serving individuals with developmental disabilities.

The McDonough Junior Women’s Club is a non-profit service organization supporting Henry County organizations through meaningful donations and community. The organization has been serving Henry County for over three decades.

Club membership is $36 annually and meetings take place on the third Tuesday of each month. In addition, members participate in various community service projects throughout the year and enjoy quarterly social outings, including an annual girl’s weekend trip.

I joined the Women’s Club last year and have made many new friends and enjoyed helping out on various projects last year. It is a great way to get involved in the community and meet people.

Some of the club’s activities in 2022 included making Easter blessing baskets for Golden Crest residents, making Buckets of Love for Henry County Police Department to give to families in crisis, sponsoring two contestants in the H.O.P.E. Park Special Pageant, ladies night out at Crust & Craft, and Axe Country, a night at Tokyo Japanese and Escape Room, and our annual weekend getaway to Savannah.
