Good food is central to Thanksgiving day. These two recipes are simple and easy crowd pleasers that your kids can help make. My son and I had fun creating these mini apple pie bites and the Blessing Mix.
Mini Apple Pie Bites
These mini apple pie bites smell as good as they taste. This is a fun and simple recipe for holiday party appetizers or a dessert tray. The bite size pieces make the perfect portions. The leftovers are great for breakfast. You can swap out apples for cherries, peaches or berries. Top with a spoonful of vanilla ice cream for dessert or drizzle with caramel sauce.
Ingredients 2 packages of crescent rolls 2 Granny Smith apples peeled - sliced or chopped 1 cup chopped pecans 3 tablespoons butter, melted 1/2 cup light brown sugar (I used Stevia brown sugar) Apple Pie spice

Thanksgiving Blessing Mix
This mix has a perfect blend of sweet and salty. It is super easy to pull together. The biggest challenge is finding candy corn after Halloween. This mix makes a great party food and is a nice gift to wrap up for friends and teachers. Each ingredient has a special meaning noted in the printable pictured below.
Ingredients 1 bag Bugles 2-3 cups pretzels - small, traditional pretzel shape 1 cup candy corn 1 cup dried fruit (I used raisins) Nuts &/or seeds (I used pecans) M&Ms (2 share size bags) Hershey's Kisses - 1 bag unwrapped kisses
