One of my favorite things about publishing Macaroni Kid is having the opportunity to meet some amazing neighbors who are making a difference in our community. Often times these hidden gems inspire me and remind me that one person can make a difference. It is with this in mind that Macaroni Kid McDonough-Stockbridge-Griffin launched this article series to spotlight these special people. My hope is to introduce you to some amazing people living right here in our communities who not only are doing unique and wonderful things but also deserve to have some attention brought to their mission. Pink Caviar Lash & Brow Spa is an affordable luxury experience for enhancing natural beauty and self-care pampering needs. Pink Caviar reminds you of a bougie women's cave. It's pink, the walls are sparkly, and it's just all around girly. We specialize in several beauty services such as facials, mink eyelash extensions, lash strips, individual lash clusters, microblading, microneedling, threading, brow shaping, teeth whitening, makeup, body and facial waxing. What sets us apart is we offer a variety of services, and we treat our clients like family.
What inspired you to start Pink Caviar Lash & Brow Spa?
Everyone seems to have the same story of how long they've been in the industry, and for me, I've never done a lash. I've never done a brow, but I am an expert in the field. Tedious work has never been my thing, but investing has. What inspired me to open Pink Caviar is I wanted to help women feel beautiful and create a space for them to relax and escape. As women, we give so much to our careers, family, and friends; we forget self-care. Therefore, Pink Caviar is the place to recharge and to treat yourself to something special.
What is it that you love about what you do?
I love the clients. It's the highlight of my day. We get the opportunity to meet so many different types of women with different stories. Some are getting married, and some are experiencing hardships. It's incredible how strong women are. It's beautiful, making other people feel beautiful and helping them feel like themselves again. Also, I love my team their my second family.
What advice do you have for others wanting to start a business?
If you believe you can make something work go for it, but you must do your research, become an expert, and be consistent. Whatever you decide to do, make sure you provide excellent customer service because, without the customers, you don't have a business. Also, understand there will be bad days that will try to discourage you. Become a solution maker. When you find the solution to the problem, the problem goes away.
What do you do to take care of yourself and how do you make time to do it?
I go to therapy. (laughs out loud) Listen, running a business is no joke. Do not let social media fool you. It's never easy to run a business because you never get a day off. Every Tuesday belongs to me, and everyone on my team knows that's Cassie's self-care day, even though they still call me. I had to learn the importance of a balanced life. I created a full schedule of things that I do for myself every Tuesday. I get my hair washed and condition at 10am. I then go to therapy. I eat lunch by myself while watching business videos on YouTube. I get my lashes, nails, and toes done. Also, I end the day with a hot stone massage from my mobile massage therapist @_urfavoritetherapist.

Favorite spot to take your children around town?
My daughter, Stormie, loves Dave and Busters, and she's obsessed with Scoops McDonough. Those are her two favorite places to go.
