Clayton County Public Schools to Offer SummerT.I.M.E. Camps in 2020

Applications for Teachers & Students will be available in March 2020

February 6, 2020

Clayton County Public Schools (CCPS) is proud to offer what we believe to be the best STEM Summer in Metro Atlanta and in Georgia. SummerT.I.M.E. (Thrive, Inspire, Motivate and Engage) is now being planned for the third consecutive year! SummerT.I.M.E. (Thrive, Inspire, Motivate and Engage) is a series of summer learning experiences designed to allow students the opportunity to learn beyond the classroom by participating in positive learning and engage in various fun-filled Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) activities. These experiences will provide students in grades K-11 informative sessions to develop skills employers and colleges are currently looking for in STEM-literate individuals such as creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, communication, innovation, and systematic problem-solving.

“We believe STEM is the building block that connects the world,” said Dr. Morcease J. Beasley, Superintendent/CEO of Schools. “It is critical that we provide our students with the opportunity to be engaged in science, technology, engineering, and math beyond the 180-day instructional calendar,” he concluded.

SummerT.I.M.E. Learning Camps are free and will be located at various school sites throughout the district. The SummerT.I.M.E. applications for students and teachers will be available in March 2020. As in the past,
CCPS will use a lottery system for selecting students to participate. Please email questions related to SummerT.I.M.E. to summerlearninginfo@clayton.k12.ga.us.

For Parents/Students: Students interested in participating in any of the SummerT.I.M.E. programs must complete an online application via the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. This application will be available in March 2020. To ensure successful completion of the SummerT.I.M.E. application, parents should ensure they have accessibility to Infinite Campus. Please note, parents will need a username and password to access their portal account. All pertinent information (physical address, telephone number, email address, etc.) must be up to date. Parents may contact the parent liaison at their student's school or Clayton County Public Schools International Center for assistance.
