As we enter Thanksgiving and the holiday season, I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude to all of you for making these past two years for us possible.
Thank you for supporting our efforts of helping families get out and have a good time together without having to go into the city.
I am so proud of what we have been able to accomplish together this past year:
- We now reach 4,000 families in Clayton, Henry, Butts, Spalding, and surrounding counties. (That's an increase of almost 1,000 families from last year.)
- Over 4,500 people follow and actively engage with us on social media. (It amazes me how this number grows so much daily.)
- 10+ helpful guides were created to provide local resources including Top 100 Favorite Kids Books to Read, Easter Celebrations & Egg Hunts Around McDonough-Stockbridge-Griffin, 103 Family Day Trips from Atlanta South, and our Ultimate Shop Local Holiday Guide and 12 Days of Giveaways will launch December 3, 2018.
- We compiled resources, worked with local businesses, and other Georgia Macaroni Kid editions to provide a Hurricane Resource Guide for both hurricanes that affected Georgia and our neighboring states.
- Our sponsors and partners have grown over the past year. Macaroni Kid MSG is able to remain a free, local resource because of the support of our sponsors. I ask that you please support each of them and shop small this holiday season.
Over the next week, I ask that you take a moment to share your stories on social media of why you are thankful for #McDonoughMacKid. What are some of the places you have visited and the fun things that you have been able to do with your family as a result of our Event Calendar and weekly email. Help us to create future stories and continue to grow by sharing us with a friend, co-worker, family member, and your favorite, local business.
